Have you ever felt like an empty soul? A silhouette just plodding along through life? So does he. He plods. He deals with "the small stuff." The small stuff balls up into "bigger stuff." Day in and day out. He plods to work, to the gym, home again. Through the ups and down. Rain or shine.
At least he knows that there are better days to come. Someday... But for now, it's just empty!
Production Notes
EMPTY was intended to be sombre from opening to final credits. We really liked the idea of pinning an animated silhouette character against a very normal but unpleasant situation and letting things play out. You might expect the character to implode or react in a very loud manner when he hits the boiling point. We put ourselves in his shoes and imagined what most of us WOULD do in a similar situation.
